Reading campaign activity in grade 6 B of PM SHRI KV Dappar

The “Reading Campaign Activity” highlighted in this post focuses on strengthening students’ vocabulary, confidence, and reading habits through a simple yet engaging exercise. In this activity, students choose words from books or reading materials and spell them out clearly and accurately. This practice helps them pay attention to letter patterns, pronunciation, and correct spelling.

The interactive nature of the activity encourages participation, as students listen to one another, learn new words, and correct mistakes in a supportive environment. It turns spelling into an enjoyable challenge, making language learning more interesting. The activity also helps improve reading fluency, memory, and word recognition through repeated exposure to meaningful vocabulary.

By integrating this exercise into the reading campaign, the library promotes focused learning, enhances language skills, and motivates students to explore new words with curiosity. Overall, it reinforces the campaign’s aim of nurturing confident, attentive, and enthusiastic readers.

Drug abuse, substance abuse and career guidance workshop for vidyanjali portal

The “Drug Abuse, Substance Abuse, and Career Awareness” activity is an important initiative aimed at educating students about the harmful effects of drugs and how such habits can negatively impact their health, studies, and future careers. During the session, the librarian explains what substance abuse is, how addiction develops, and the physical, emotional, and social damage it can cause. Students learn that drug use not only harms the body and mind but also disrupts academic performance, discipline, and long-term professional goals.

The activity includes discussions, real-life examples, and informative displays that make the topic easy to understand and relatable. Students are encouraged to think about peer pressure, decision-making, and the importance of making healthy choices. By linking drug awareness with career planning, the session helps students realize that a responsible lifestyle is essential for building a successful future. Overall, the initiative empowers learners to stay informed, stay safe, and stay focused on their goals.
